Omkar Math a centre for divine approach.
Sri Math has its building or boundary to the south of Sri Harihareshwara Temple on the banks of the holy river Tungabhadra.The building has got the beautiful structure as seen. In the front side, one can see a big brindavan of tulasi(holy basil plant) and to the left the Navagraha temple.The guru parampara can be seen in the Guruparampara menu. History
By the influence of Sri. Adi Shankar on the universal thought of Advaita, Sri Padmanabha Teertha established a divine atmosphere Sri. Adi Shankar established universal thought of Advaita. Influenced by Sri Padmanabha Teertha created a divine atmosphere around the borders of Maharastra and Karnataka.Among many staunch followers of Sri Padmanabha Teertha, Sri Shivananda Teertha established Omkar Math at Harihara with the co-operation of local devotes on 1941 march 28where in Sri Sharadambha,Sri Dattatreya and Sri Adi Shankara on the idols of Sri Math. Swami Sri Shivananda Teertha trust is being established to keep the activities of Sri Math alive and jubilant.
